No doubt, the new born arrival preparation is an expensive time. You prepare a list of each and everything that you need and try to make it as affordable as possible. However investing in a quality product is so important because later you don’t replace or return anything that you have purchased. Similarly a good bottle warmer will makes you life easy if you are preparing for night feeds. Philips AVENT Fast Bottle Warmer is one of that best product and all of the above it is quite affordable.
The Philips AVNET is itself compact in size but still have enough space to accommodate any size of bottle, which in my opinion is a great help. It takes only three minutes to warm the bottle up moreover, it heats quickly and evenly.
Safety and Health
When it comes to safety the AVNET scores only 5 out of 10. We do like that it uses water bath yet that is about where it ends. Above all else, it has recommended table that is only in Celsius and limited to plastic bottles. The most concerning issue, there is no auto shut-off or audible signal on cycle completion. Since, there is no timer so you have to set the stop watch to avoid overheating.
Ease of Use
For each use water must be added to warmer. No necessary measuring tools are required simply just pour water into it and fill up to the level of milk. The instruction manual doesn’t include timing recommendations for glass bottle which is a big oversight in my perspective. As mentioned already, there’s no auto-shut off. This isn’t only a safety issue however one of convenience too. Setting a separate timer is yet another step in the process and that ought to be incorporated into the functionality of the device.
Ease of Clean
It is recommended to empty and wipe down after each use. Furthermore after regular intervals. Furthermore, at regular intervals, de-scaling with 50mL white vinegar: 100mL chilled water with the device on for 10 minutes. The way it is composed, however, it isn’t conceivable to truly get at the warming plate to clean it with a cloth.
In my opinion there are many dominating functionalities are missing but for many people this Philips AVNET is an excellent product. Many people are using this and having no complain.
